Role Overview
Doverunner is moving from WordPress to a modern headless stack using Next.js and Storyblok — and you’ll lead that transformation.
As our SEO Web Developer, you’ll own the migration end-to-end, auditing the current site, preserving SEO equity, and building a high-performance, search-optimized frontend from the ground up. Post-launch, you’ll act as the bridge between engineering and marketing to drive ongoing organic growth.
This is a hands-on build role for someone who understands both WordPress and modern headless architecture and is excited to shape what comes next.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the migration from WordPress to a Next.js + Storyblok headless CMS stack – auditing existing content, mapping URL redirects, and preserving SEO equity throughout
- Build doverunner.com from the ground up on the new stack, working alongside the platform engineering team
- Own all on-page and technical SEO: schema markup, hreflang, canonical URLs, sitemap, and robots.txt
- Collaborate with the marketing team to design SEO-optimised landing pages, blog structures, and campaign pages
- Conduct keyword research and map content architecture to support organic growth across global and India markets
- Monitor and improve Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP) and Lighthouse performance scores
- Manage programmatic page generation for competitor comparison and feature landing pages
- Implement and maintain analytics tracking (GA4, Search Console, Tag Manager)
- Translate marketing briefs into well-scoped development tasks and push back when scope is unclear
- Work cross-functionally with the global platform team on shared components and deployments
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in web development with a strong SEO focus
- Proficiency in Next.js, React, and TypeScript
- Deep understanding of technical SEO: crawl architecture, structured data, Core Web Vitals, indexation
- Direct experience migrating a WordPress site to a headless or modern framework – including redirect mapping, content migration, and SEO continuity
- Experience with headless CMS platforms, ideally Storyblok, Contentful, or similar
- Hands-on experience with GA4, Google Search Console, and Ahrefs or SEMrush
- Proven ability to collaborate with non-technical marketing stakeholders and translate vague briefs into deliverables
- Excellent written English for cross-functional communication with the global team
- Based in or able to work from Mumbai, India
