Senior Analyst – Content Identification & Enforcement

Role Overview

The Senior Analyst will be responsible to support in identifying, analyzing, and coordinating the removal of pirated content across digital platforms, with a strong focus on live sports, PPV events, movies, and TV content.
This role acts as a subject-matter expert (SME), supporting large-scale enforcement operations, mentoring junior analysts, and working closely with platforms, legal teams, and automated monitoring systems. Proficient in coding (python, node.js), Power Bi/Google looker studio, sheet, Excel, SQL, and automation tools.


Key Responsibilities

Pirated Content Identification & Monitoring

  • Proactively assist in developing tool to identify pirated content across:
    • Social media platforms (X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok)
    • Video platforms (YouTube, Dailymotion)
    • Live-streaming sites
    • Forums, blogs, cyberlockers
    • Messaging apps (Telegram, Discord)
    • IPTV services and illegal streaming sites
  • Monitor live events (sports, PPV, boxing, soccer, MMA, etc.) in real time.
  • Use manual techniques and automated tools to detect illegal streams, links, and reuploads.

Enforcement & Takedown Operations

  • Execute and manage takedowns using:
    • Platform reporting tools
    • Rights-holder portals
    • Automated notice-and-takedown systems
  • Ensure timely takedowns, especially during live events.
  • Track takedown success rates and escalation outcomes.
  • Coordinate escalations with platforms, ISPs, hosting providers, and legal teams.

Analysis, Reporting & Intelligence

  • Analyze piracy trends, sources, and distribution methods.
  • Identify repeat infringers, large piracy networks, and IPTV operators.
  • Prepare detailed reports covering:
    • Piracy volume and platform breakdown
    • Enforcement KPIs (URLs found, URLs removed, SLA adherence)
    • Event-specific piracy impact analysis
  • Support evidence gathering for legal enforcement and litigation.

Tools, Automation & Process Improvement

  • Work with internal anti-piracy tools and third-party platforms.
  • Provide feedback to product/engineering teams on:
    • Detection accuracy
    • Automation gaps
    • False positives / false negatives
    • Tools improvement
  • Help define workflows, SOPs, and best practices.
  • Support onboarding and training of junior analysts.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Act as a point of contact for clients, 3rd party vendors and internal teams.
  • Participate in client calls, operational reviews, and incident post-mortems.
  • Assist with coverage planning for high-profile live events.

Required Skills & Experience

Mandatory

  • 3-5 years of experience in anti-piracy or content protection.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • Live sports / PPV piracy monitoring
    • Manual and automated takedown workflows
  • Deep understanding of:
    • Online piracy ecosystems
    • IPTV piracy and restreaming
    • Cyberlockers and link aggregators
  • Experience working with major platforms’ rights management tools.
  • Excellent analytical and investigative skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (English required).

Preferred / Nice to Have

  • Experience with sports leagues, OTT platforms, or broadcasters.
  • Knowledge of copyright law basics, DMCA, and regional enforcement frameworks.
  • Familiarity with:
    • Web scraping / OSINT techniques
    • Social media monitoring tools
    • Link analysis and network mapping
  • Exposure to automation, AI-based monitoring, or fingerprinting technologies.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure, time-sensitive live event environments.
